Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our dynamic and growing team. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about accounting, enjoy working in a collaborative environment while contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing cash reimbursements, accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
  • Performing monthly reconciliations: bank, credit card, donation and other forms of funding.
  • Conducting month-end and year-end closures.
  • Assisting in annual budgeting and projection preparation.
  • Supporting and assisting with 340B program compliance.
  • Ensuring all financial operations align with the organization’s targeted goals, bylaws and nonprofit status regulations.

 Other Responsibilities

  • Supporting external audit requirements.
  • Working with outside CPA firm to prepare and complete the annual 990.
  • Initiating continuous improvement initiatives related to accounting and financial processes.
  • Applying new policies and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Maintaining organized records of all financial transactions and documentation.
  • Performing other related duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Confidentiality and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and other data reporting systems.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience with general accounting.
  • Nonprofit including federal grants experience in healthcare or social service areas is a plus.
