Job Type: Part-Time Hourly (10-20 hours per week)
Job Summary: Novus Health, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team on a part-time basis. The APRN will provide telemedicine services, manage patient care, and participate in community and quality assurance activities. This role requires a high level of professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide telemedicine services using virtual communication channels (EMR) to diagnose and treat non-threatening illnesses, assist chronically ill patients, and monitor patients recovering from surgeries.
- See 8-10 patients per day, with the schedule approved in conjunction with the Employer.
- Participate in community service activities, including marketing activities through speaking engagements, writing, and special clinical programs.
- Engage in risk management and quality assurance activities in accordance with Employer’s policies.
- Collaborate with Employer physicians on medical care beyond the APRN’s scope of practice.
- Verify and update patient medical and prescription history in the EMR system and complete notes within 24 hours of each patient visit.
- Consult with the supervising physician before changing or initiating any anti-retroviral regimens.
- Stay informed about research studies conducted by the Employer and consider patient eligibility for participation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and coworkers, addressing any concerns with management or the supervising physician.
- Perform additional job-related duties as directed by the Employer.
- Comply with Employer policies, procedures, rules, and directives.
Qualifications:
- Valid APRN license.
- Competence in using EMR systems and other computer applications.
- Experience in telemedicine is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
APRN is required to stand, sit, bend, squat, walk, and lift floor to waist and waist to overhead occasionally, reach forward and overhead frequently. APRN is required to carry up to 50 pounds, lift floor to waist and waist to overhead occasionally. Fine manipulation requires use of both hands. APRN is exposed to computer terminal frequently. Demonstrated leadership ability with strong communication skills and diplomacy. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. APRN is exposed to blood borne pathogens frequently.
